Error memory configuration messages for the DesignJet 1050C / 1050C Plus / 1055 CM and 1055 CM Plus
Memory for the DesignJet 1050C / 1055 CM is not interchangeable with 1050C Plus / 1055 CM Plus and vice versa

The message Error Memory Config: 10 , or Error Memory Config: 2 is displayed on the printer's front panel display.

SOLUTION:
Follow the steps below.Error Memory Config: 10 (memory not present or recognized)

1. 1. Turn the printer off and unplug the power cable from the printer.
2. 2. Open the firmware/memory access panel located on the back of the printer.
3. 3. Remove and re-install all memory DIMM's (middle and right-most slot).
4. 4. Close the access panel and plug the power cord back into the printer
5. 5. Turn the printer on and verify functionality.
6. 6. If the problem persists, replace the memory DIMM(s) as needed.

For internal HP ordering purposes only, use part number C6074-60288 (64 MB) or C6074-60289 (128 MB).

Error Memory Config: 2 (wrong type of memory installed)
Note:
This error message generally appears when memory for an HP Designjet 1050C or 1055CM "A" model has been installed in a Designjet 1050C or 1055CM plus model (B models). The memory for the A models is not compatible with the plus series models.

1. 1. Turn the printer off and unplug the power cable from the printer.
2. 2. Open the firmware/memory access panel located on the back of the printer.
3. 3. If additional memory has recently been installed, remove the new memory and install the original memory shipped with the printer.
4. 4. Plug the power cable in, turn the printer on, and verify functionality.
