HP Designjet Multi Roll Feeder - TWI: System Error 0D0000
0D0001, 0D0002, 0D0003

A problem with Channel sensor 1 has been detected. Most common causes are poor cable connections, incorrect sensor positioning, a faulty Channel sensor or Electronics module. Follow the steps listed below to determine the actual cause of the failure and to replace the appropriate parts. Error Codes 0D0001 refers to Channel 2 Sensor, 0D0002 refers to Channel 3 Sensor, 0D0003 refers to Channel 4 Sensor

If any of the troubleshooting steps listed below solve the problem, attempt to verify printer functionality by printing several internal prints. If functionality is verified, no additional parts should be replaced. (To troubleshoot Error Codes - 0D0001, 0D0002, 0D0003 follow the same steps but substitute the corresponding channel sensor 01 - CH2, 02-CH3 & 03-CH4).

 

Follow up:

  1. Turn the printer and the multi-roll feeder Off.
  2. Locate Channel Sensor 1, found just above the top Roll (pictured in Figure 1).

  1. Check that the Channel Sensor is correctly connected and that the sensor is positioned over the hole in the chassis.
  2. Turn the printer and Multi-roll feeder On, and attempt to verify functionality.
  3. If the error continues, replace Channel Sensor 1 (refer to pg. 4-35 of the HP Designjet Multi-Roll Feeder Service Manual).
  4. If the error persists, replace the Main PCA (refer to pg. 4-15 of the HP Designjet Multi-Roll Feeder Service Manual).
  5. Following the replacement of the Main PCA, perform a Multi-Roll Feeder Calibration as listed below.

    NOTE: Printer menu mode must be set to Full to access the Service Tests submenu. To verify, at the Ready prompt, scroll to the Printer Setup icon, and press ENTER. Use the ARROW buttons to scroll to the Utilities menu and press ENTER. Using the ARROW buttons scroll to Menu Mode =. Select Full (if needed) and press the BACK button to return to the Main menu.
